The Manassas Bee Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 22, 2024, at Liberia House, 8601 Portner Avenue in Manassas. This annual event, now in its fourth year, coincides with Pollinator Week and offers a range of activities for attendees.
Theresa Coates Ellis, a Manassas City Council member and one of the festival organizers, spoke about the event's history and purpose. "We are going to have it this year again at Liberia House and Grounds," said Coates Ellis. The historic home will be open for self-guided tours.
Coates Ellis highlighted the native garden planted by local gardeners, which includes many pollinating plants.
