The new regulation aims to create a more structured approach to managing the use of electronic devices, including personal computing devices, cellular phones, electronic and wireless devices, headphones, earbuds, smartwatches, wearable devices, Bluetooth-enabled devices, and other devices that can manage calls, messages, or images.
Under the amended regulation, students are prohibited from using personal cellular phones and electronic devices during the regular school day, which is defined as the start bell to the dismissal bell. These devices must be out of visible sight, either silenced or powered off, and stored in a backpack or personal bag.
